VII. Game Procedures |

|
a. Team Responsibilities |
| |
|
|
i. Home team shall: |
| |
|
|
|
1. Provide pucks for both teams’ warm-ups |
| |
|
|
|
2. Provide linesmen and off-ice officials |
| |
|
|
|
3. Pay officials’ game fees and expenses |
| |
|
|
|
4. Provide proper rink security and crowd control |
| |
|
|
|
|
a. Include player protection during movement of teams to and from locker rooms prior to, during, and following the game |
| |
|
|
|
|
b. Teams are subject to $300.00 fine for incidents due to lack of security |
| |
|
|
|
5. Wear light colored game jerseys |
| |
|
|
|
6. Provide proper “game team” to play game as scheduled |
| |
|
|
|
7. Call/fax in game scores and distribute score sheets |
| |
|
|
|
|
a. SUSPENSIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IMMEDIATELY Friday suspensions must be called in Friday night |
| |
|
|
|
8. Allow a 5 or 10 minute warm-up, no matter if a team is late or on time to the rink |
| |
|
|
ii. Visiting team shall: |
| |
|
|
|
1. Wear dark colored game jerseys |
| |
|
|
|
2. Provide proper “game team” to play scheduled game |
| |
|
b. Proper Game Team |
| |
|
|
i. Each team must have a minimum of 10 skaters plus a goaltender present and dressed and ready to play a scheduled game |
| |
|
|
|
1. All must be properly registered/rostered |
| |
|
|
|
2. If unable to do so, an offending team shall be fined $300.00, upon request |
| |
|
|
|
|
a. Request must be sent to Secretary/Treasurer/Publicist by Friday to be forwarded to the offended team |
| |
|
|
|
3. The game shall be played as scheduled with the players present |
| |
|
|
|
4. The offending team shall forfeit further GLHL games until the fine is paid |
| |
|
c. No-Shows |
| |
|
|
i. All teams are expected to fulfill GLHL scheduling commitments |
| |
|
|
ii. In the event of a “no-show” the offending team shall be fined $750.00 and the game forfeited |
| |
|
|
iii. Fine(s) shall be submitted to the Secretary/Treasurer/Publicist by the following Tuesday, to be forwarded to the offended |
| |
|
|
|
1. If fine(s) not received timely, the offending team shall be suspended from further GLHL play until payment is received |
| |
|
|
|
2. Fines shall be progressive, with an additional $750.00/forfeit assessed for each scheduled game until payment is received |
| |
|
|
iv. Every reasonable effort must be made by all teams to make scheduled games |
| |
|
|
|
1. In the event of severe and unavoidable situations, teams may work out an alternative agreement in lieu of fines/forfeits |
| |
|
|
|
2. Cooperation and understanding is encouraged |
| |
|
|
v. Any team that walks off the ice during a GLHL game shall be fined $750.00 |
| |
|
|
|
1. Exhibition or league game |
| |
|
|
|
2. Any subsequent happening another $750.00 fine shall be assessed |
| |
|
d. Score Sheets |
| |
|
|
i. All players listed on the game score sheet must be properly registered/rostered |
| |
|
|
|
1. Only those players fully dressed and present on the bench shall be included |
| |
|
|
|
2. Referee will verify game rosters |
| |
|
|
ii. Score sheets must be neat and legible, must include: |
| |
|
|
|
1. Names of the team’s coaches |
| |
|
|
|
2. Must have the game officials printed names and signatures |
| |
|
|
|
3. This is necessary for statistics and reporting |
| |
|
|
iii. Distribution shall be: |
| |
|
|
|
1. White- Secretary/Treasurer/Publicist |
| |
|
|
|
2. Yellow- Home Team |
| |
|
|
|
3. Pink- Visitor Team |
| |
|
|
|
4. Gold- Referee |
| |
